Whittle and Flame suffered a devastating arson attack in late summer 2024. It crippled production capabilities but Matt being Matt, would not lay down and has been working tirelessly to rebuild and bring us some of their class leading products again. We will be starting with Whittlebricks very soon and other releases at a date to be defined. Suffice to say though, Whittle and Flame will be back. In the meantime, carry on supporting British charcoal producers as we have some equally amazing British charcoal available, so take a look. We guarantee you’ll still be cooking on the world’s best charcoal!
The team at Whittle and Flame wear their hearts on their leaves and this is some of our very favourite charcoal and a cult brand amongst fire cooking connoisseurs – we have been huge fans for years.

Working from their yard in Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire they use trees felled as part of a whole-woodland management plan. Their focus is on regenerating biodiversity and vigorous healthy growth ensuring a future for these essential habitats.
