Oak charcoal, is a dense fissured charcoal. It will burn easily at a lower temperature for an extended period of time due to its density, responding well to changes in air flow due to the large cracks in the charcoal allowing air to flow. It’s a great choice for low and slow cooks or for cooking more delicate food like fish and an excellent choice for cooking directly on the coals.

Flavour Profile

An old English wood charcoal that is a delight to cook on, delivering a super subtle smoke profile. Add chunks for stronger smoked infusions.
