New charcoal alert!!! Norfolk charcoal spoil us in the supply of this magical charcoal that even the unicorns say is rare! Made from British grown Holm Oak from the Holkham Estate in Norfolk, this is by far the densest charcoal we have offered and is magnificent and unbeatable for low and slow cooks. Takes longer to light due to its density, but when it has caught, it just burns for an eternity. 4+ hours on an open grill or 24hrs + on a low and slow Kamado cook. Low smoke, clean, beautiful heat with no hissing or popping - it’s the stuff that fire cooking dreams are made of and only a very limited quantity is available.

Oh we love this charcoal - truly! This is a brilliant single species Ash charcoal that tends to have larger chunks but is a great all rounder. Given Ash is one of the less dense hardwoods, this charcoal lights easily and just loves to get hot! It's a very consistent charcoal so burns quietly with no hissing or popping, delivering a light smoky taste. Wonderful charcoal that will change your game and allows your food taste like it should!

Super light so they had trouble fitting into regular bags and had to fill with 4kg in weight given it is so light and volumes. Alder loves to get hot and fast so no waiting around to cook on this magnificent charcoal. Just so you know... Many people are surprised with the subtlety in flavour of oak charcoal expecting big flavours, but bear in mind this is charcoal and not wood - so it delivers a lovely mild flavour and not overpowering.
