What's the Difference?
Charcoal is made from wood. Where that wood comes from matters.
A bag labelled Made in Britain simply means the charcoal has been processed and packaged here. It doesn't automatically tell you where the timber originally grew.
In some cases, imported hardwood is brought into the UK before being converted into charcoal or simply imported as charcoal and bagged and sold under a British brand. While this may legally allow certain "Made in Britain" claims depending on how the product has been processed, it isn't the same as supporting British woodlands or British woodland management.
